Two big economic development projects from 2012 took top honors Tuesday at the annual awards ceremony hosted by the Greater Richmond Association for Commercial Real Estate.

Amazon’s distribution centers in Chesterfield and Dinwiddie counties were named “Project of the Year” by the organization.

In the apartments world, Rushmark Properties’ First National Apartments was named “Best Multifamily Project.”

Colonial Shooting Academy was named best adaptive reuse project in the entertainment category, and Steve Uphoff’s Uptown Alley was named best new construction project in entertainment.

Other award recipients included:

Best retail adaptive reuse: Carytown Place

Best office renovation: Allianz Global Assistance

Best institutional project: Commonwealth Center for Advanced Manufacturing

Excellence in collaboration: Greater Richmond Aquatics Partnership, Aquatics Center

Best new office building: Parham Place III

Best new medical building: Reynolds Crossing MOB II

Best office adaptive reuse: RiverFront Investment Group

Best new retail building: Stonebridge, Phase I

Best lease transaction: SunTrust Bank at WestMark Two

Best sale/acquisition transaction: West Broad Village
