The Martin Agency landed a new account with TIAA-CREF and will handle the company’s creative, strategy and media planning and buying duties.

Clouds Over Cuba, a documentary created for the JFK Presidential Library & Museum, has been nominated for two Emmys at the 34th annual News and Documentary Emmy Awards.

GEICO’s “Hump Day” spot was the top shared ad in June.

A Martin Agency team spent 35 days on the road with Camp4Collective, shooting footage for the Playground Earth All Terrain Relay. The project is for its client BFGoodrich.

Barclays hired Create Digital to build a Voice of the Customer program powered by social media listening. The program will focus on social media listening posts in order to provide insights, trends and calls to action that improve operations.

Commonwealth Partnerships Group was retained by the Home Building Association of Richmond and will handle public relations for the 2013 Parade of Homes event in October.

Madison + Main launched two TV spots for County of Bath Tourism and another for Richard Bland College of William and Mary.

Kelley Miller joined the firm as an account manager after five years in New York.

The King Agency’s client First Capital Bank for the sixth consecutive year will hold its “Stuff the Bus” campaign to collect school supplies for children in need. The company has partnered with the Richmond Flying Squirrels, and the campaign will launch Sunday, Aug. 4, at the Diamond. Chick-fil-A, Sweet Frog and Uptown Alley also sponsor the campaign.

Tim Holt joined the King Agency as senior art director.

Lythos Studios signed a three-year contract with Preservation Petersburg to create and implement a digital networking campaign for all of its historic sites in Old Towne Petersburg. Over the past year, the firm has worked with Peter Jones Trading Station to develop a brand identity, a new logo and print and digital media.

Lythos produced a television show that aired on CBS 6 titled “A Governors’ Conversation.” The program featured Gov. Bob McDonnell and was moderated by Edward Ayers, president of the University of Richmond.

The firm produced a 15-second TV spot for Richmond Tax Solutions’ “Stop the Bleeding” campaign and recently moved to 212 E. Franklin St.

Neathawk Dubuque & Packett won a regional Emmy for a TV spot produced for Children’s Hospital of Richmond. The firm, which conceived and scripted the ad, shared the award with Dreams Factory Production Company and In Your Ear Audio Productions.

93 Octane completed a redesign of Maymont’s website and launched a mobile app for the estate. The agency designed a new website for local country music band Jackson Ward and handled other parts of its branding, including logo design.
