Another Richmond company is trading in its West End office for a place in Scott’s Addition.
The Fahrenheit Group, which provides accounting and finance consulting, business advisory services and talent acquisition, plans to move its headquarters this summer to the redeveloped HandCraft Cleaners building at 1501 Roseneath Road.
Fahrenheit partner and co-founder Rich Reinecke said the company leased a 6,500-square-foot space that faces Mactavish Avenue. For three years it was based out of a 3,000-square-foot office at 1700 Dayberry Court in Henrico County.
Reinecke said the search for a new space began in December and Fahrenheit was looking for a bigger office in a centralized location.
“We’re crunched in this space,” Reinecke said, adding the company has grown in recent years. “We needed more room for our clients to be here working with our team. We have clients all over the region.”
Fahrenheit Group works with clients of all sizes, from startups to large corporations. Locally, it has worked with chia seed guru and Scott’s Addition neighbor Health Warrior and the nonprofit Medical Society of Virginia.

Earlier this year, it acquired executive recruiting firm Bencks & Co.
Reinecke said when it came time to find a new Richmond headquarters, he considered downtown, but was put off by the prospect of relying on deck or high-rise parking. Scott’s Addition’s proximity to major thoroughfares helped make it an attractive place to keep an office.
“The Midtown location is extremely convenient,” Reinecke said. “We mapped our employees. This is as convenient to just about everybody.”
Fahrenheit Group enlisted architecture firm SMBW to design its space. Broker Christina Jeffries of 7 Hills Advisors helped the company with leasing. Reinecke would not say how much the move will cost, but it is being funded by the company and with financing from Park Sterling Bank.
“We’re definitely designing this as a long-term home,” Reinecke said.
Fahrenheit is the latest company to sign on for space in the HandCraft building, an 87,000-square-foot property that’s being transformed from a commercial laundry operation into a multi-tenant building. It will join electric car charger startup Evatran and Vasen Brewing Co.
Leasing for the HandCraft building is handled by Read Goode and Cheryle Toy of Divaris Real Estate.

My congrats to Cheryle and Reade for what appears to be a successful turnaround at The Handcraft Building. Few people believed that it could be successful without the switch to residential. Those two have put in a lot of hard work.
Welcome to the SA neighborhood to The Fahrenheit Group. This place is on the rise not only in just breweries but with The Fahrenheit Group, Dominion Payroll Services, and Evatran all moving their home offices into the area along with all the warehouse conversions and new condo/apartment construction going on. SA is becoming the perfect balance between work, live and play. Can’t wait for my company DPS to open their office in January and looking to relocate to the area as well from Glen Allen to live closer to work and the amenities.
