Richmond Corporate Video and Comcast Spotlight teamed up to produce the first TV spot for Asado Taco and Wing Company. Branded to attract the VCU crowd, the spot is airing during VCU Rams basketball games on Comcast cable stations. Richmond Corporate Video worked with Comcast Spotlight production manager Chris Yeatts on the spot.

CO+LAB designed a new website for the Movement Makers National Active Living Summit, to be held in Richmond in May. The firm worked with summit organizers Sports Backers and its Active RVA initiative to create a site highlighting the summit’s agenda and activities.

Whittington Consulting completed two WordPress website redesign projects, one for the Virginia Association of Counties and the other for the Augusta County Economic Development Authority.

Randall Branding Agency completed a rebrand for uniforms maker Ukrop’s Dress Express. The agency worked with the company for over a year to develop a new visual style and messaging, including a new name: Ukrop’s Threads. The branding campaign included a new logo, website and various marketing collateral.

Carsen Young joined Randall this month as front-end web developer. Young’s background includes more than a decade of graphic and web design for Bancroft Technology Group.

Workshop Digital is managing local and national search engine advertising campaigns for Life Storage, a national chain of 650 self-storage locations.

Addison Clark was hired by Athens Cremation Services, a direct cremation provider in Athens, Georgia. The firm designed branding and print collateral for the company and launched a mobile-friendly website with e-commerce capabilities.

OneVirginia2021 launched a follow-up to its fake political ad from last year, “Jerry Mandering.” The new ad, “A Message from Jerry Mandering,” was produced by communications firm Kelley, with Richmond funnyman Beau Cribbs serving as creative director and writer. Direction and post-production was handled by Double Take, with sound by Track Meet Studios.

Dotted Line Collaborations has brought on Amy Elkin as chief creative officer. Elkin is an adjunct professor at the VCU Brandcenter and a 20-year veteran of The Martin Agency, where she built award-winning brand campaigns for Moen Faucets, Walmart, UPS, Coca-Cola and Hanes. As chief creative officer, Elkin will provide Dotted Line with creative direction, art direction and experience working on national campaigns.

Charles Ryan Associates added content strategist Kathleen Mitchell to its client services team. The Salt Lake City native will help with client campaigns and agency projects. Mitchell previously worked in journalism before transitioning into advertising as a digital writer at Mississippi firm Mad Genius.

Charles Ryan also promoted senior media buyer Kimm Boyd to media director. Boyd has previously worked in client strategy and media buying and marketing roles at Republic Media, Goldberg and Osborne, and The Batu Solution.

Think wrapped up the winter edition of Georgetown Days magazine, a 90-page publication from Washington, D.C.-based Georgetown Day School. The firm also worked with Witte Home Solutions, a Richmond-based home remodeling company, providing social media management, digital display ads and ongoing website design and content maintenance.

Madison+Main picked up three new clients. Richmond-based bankruptcy firm Boleman Law has hired the agency to assist with marketing efforts in Richmond, Hampton and Virginia Beach. Reston-based Serco, a global business management consultant, selected the agency to develop a series of online videos, which kick off with a 2016 year-in-review video to be shown at its annual conference in D.C. Madison+Main also signed with Glen Allen-based Virginia, Maryland & Delaware Association of Electric Cooperatives to develop a variety of digital marketing initiatives.

A 30-second VCU Massey Cancer Center spot produced by ndp will air on WRLH Fox Richmond during the Super Bowl on Feb. 5. The spot debuted during the Rio Olympics.

Barber Martin Agency was selected by Reservoir Distillery as its agency of record. Work started in December with a social media campaign highlighting the local distillery’s whiskeys as holiday gifts or stocking stuffers. Moving forward, the agency will be in charge of creating new campaigns that will be used on digital and print channels.

The King Agency picked up two new clients: technology staffing and recruiting firm The Ascendant Group, and telecommunications provider Whitlow Communications, both located in Mechanicsville. The agency will develop branding and collateral materials for both companies.
