At least two new restaurants have closed. Style Weekly reported this week that ice-themed dance club/lounge Infuzion has closed after about eight months in operation. The club had an ice room where patrons donned parkas. One former employee told BizSense that the club’s owners went over the top and spent too much money on the build out. The project was way behind schedule, he said. There were also problems with management and with hiring.
It also appears that Cirrus, a swanky restaurant/bar at 1731 West Main Street in the Fan, has closed. BizSense is still trying to reach the restaurant’s owners. Residents in the area said they didn't know it had closed. Look for a comprehensive article about the state of the restaurant industry – complete with extensive statistics – in coming weeks.
