Owens & Minor cuts jobs in Philly

Locally-based medihealth care costscal supply company Owens & Minor notified officials in Pennsylvania that it would immediately lay of 73 employees it had working at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

The medical supplies company said that last week it received a notice from CHOP in West Philadelphia of the hospital’s intent to terminate its business relationship with Owens & Minor.

A representative for Owens & Minor was not immediately available.

Owens & Minor serves 4,500 customers from 55 distribution centers across the country.
