The land is targeted at hunters and hikers, those who will use the wooded land for recreational purposes.
The land for sale is mostly in the Southeast, and MWV’s new site lets visitors search by location and intended use, including hunting and fishing, land investments and enjoying the outdoors. There are 174 parcels available for sale in Virginia, mostly in the central part of the state.
For the specifically carnivorous crowd, the company has a site set up specifically called MeadWestvaco Hunting.
According to the Post and Courier story, MWV sells 35,000 to 50,000 acres each year.
