Stan Manoogian is taking a temporary leave of absence as president of Markel/Eagle Partners, which has taken over operations of West Broad Village in Henrico County. Bryan Kornblau will assume his roles, according to a source at Markel/Eagle.

Tim Crytzer was promoted to senior vice president – investments at Anderson Strudwick. Crytzer joined Anderson Strudwick’s Richmond office in 2001. He is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University.
Rob Muller was promoted to vice president – investments at Anderson Strudwick. Muller joined Anderson Strudwick’s Richmond office in May 2003. He is a graduate of Virginia Tech.

Etti Baranoff, an associate professor of insurance and finance at Virginia Commonwealth University, has been appointed research director of the insurance and finance program for the Geneva Association. Baranoff will keep her post in the VCU School of Business. Baranoff is a former insurance regulator in Texas.

Richmond-based design firm H&A Architects & Engineers announced the elected board of directors for the 2010-2011 term:
Steve Pearson will serve as chairman.
Patti Beasley will serve as secretary.
