hmmm… math is your friend 115KW yields almost $10,000 (retail) of electricity per year according to PVWATTS, the federal solar calculator. 230 watt panels cost $600 each by the pallet load, so 500 of them cost $300,000 uninstalled, without shipping costs. Fed’s pay 4.75% interest (30 year) on money borrowed from China, so that’s $14,250/yr in for the coupon clippers in Beijing and money our children will have to shell out each year. So assuming zero installation cost, infinite panel life span (instead of the actual 25 years), no maintenance, no cleaning, no degradation of the roof despite the hundreds… Read more »
