Departures

Kevin Beasley has left the information technology support firm 127TECH.

Martin Rust has resigned from his position as a market executive for RBC Bank. Rust has been with the company for more than eight years. He will take on the role of managing director for the international banking division of Fifth Third Bank effective Aug. 15.

Rebecca Bowen joined ThompsonMcMullan. Bowen’s practice focuses on business entities and transactions, tax law and estate planning. Bowen worked as an adjunct professor at Virginia Commonwealth University. She attended the University of Richmond for law school and the University of Virginia as an undergraduate.

Banking

Tom Pinczes has been appointed senior mortgage banker at Village Bank Mortgage Corporation. Most recently, he served as mortgage sales manager with StellarOne.

DeAnn Pangburn joined Xenith Bank as vice president, relationship manager. She previously worked for Paragon Commercial Bank. She attended the State University of New York at Albany.

Bob Bennett joined Xenith Bank as senior vice president. He previously worked for Paragon Commercial Bank. He has an MBA from the University of Richmond and attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Michael E. Keck joined Xenith Bank as senior vice president and team leader. He previously worked for Paragon Commercial Bank. He attended the University of Richmond and Rutgers University.

Higher education

Russell Jamison will step down as dean of the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Engineering to return to the faculty as a full-time professor in September. Jamison came to VCU in July 2006 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he was professor of bioengineering and materials science.

Architecture

Jared Jamison has been promoted to construction administration/quality assurance department head at H&A Architects & Engineers.

Carl Cunningham has been promoted to chief structural engineer H&A Architects & Engineers.

Tom Butkovich joined H&A Architects & Engineers as deputy chief mechanical engineer. He was formerly an electrical department manager at HCYU & Associates.

Chris Campbell joined H&A Architects & Engineers as a senior electrical engineer. He was formerly a security engineer for the United States Agency for International Development.
