More and more recent college grads are battling hangovers…from too much debt.
The number of students graduating college with debt is rising each year, according to a recent report by the Project on Student Debt, a California-based non-profit.
In Virginia, students owed an average of $23,300 for the 2009-2010 year. And 58 percent of students graduated with debt, according to the report.
Biz Sense compiled a list of the top 10 Virginia universities with the most debt as well as tuition rates including room and board for each for 2010. The annual cost figure is for tuition and the school’s figure for room and board. For state schools, the annual cost is for in-state students.
