The 2012 Retail Marketing Expo Puts a Spin on Marketing your Business

Richmond, VA—Retail Merchants Association (RMA) is staging its 8th annual Retail Marketing Expo, on Tuesday, August 7th. This FREE all-day event will rally together Richmond’s best and brightest marketing experts in one location at the Greater Richmond Convention Center. This is the only running B2B marketing trade show in the Richmond area.

The Expo’s fresh new concept, “Game On” is driving it forward this year as a call to action for everyone who attends—come with a set goal in mind: move your business forward. Fast.

The Expo offers an exceptional platform for you to take advantage of and perfect your business’s marketing strategy. Exhibitors are fluent in technology, broadcast, cable, and advertising, and will map out the most cutting edge and fruitful marketing methods for your business to use to get ahead of the game.

This event is free to attend. There will be free parking, free exhibit hall access, free coffee and networking, one drink ticket and free access to RMA’s Connect@ Expo networking event. There will be additional fees to access influential speakers in the Expo’s Power Sessions, Keynote Speaker Breakfast, and Cause Marketing Panel Lunch.

The Expo Keynote Speaker is Michael Guld, president of The Guld Resource Group. Guld’s topic, “Advertising…An Investment or an Expense”, will cover advertising strategies and choices your business can use to reach prospective customers, build market share, judge a return on your investments, and not go broke in the process.

The first Power Session will be with Michael J. Meyer, President/CEO if IMPAK Marketing and founder of NetSearch Direct. Meyer has over 25 years of direct marketing experience. His topic is “SEO 3.0: The New Rules of Search Engine Optimization.” Attendees of this power session will receive a free copy of his book.

Google also will have a presence with two marketing specialists, Carly Dodson and John Prince, who will hold the second Power Session about online strategies for your business. This session will include a workshop titled “Understanding Google’s Free Local Products”.

The Panel Lunch Session, “Cause Marketing: How Your Business Can Support a Local Charity and Why”, is made up of four local Richmond retailers who have extensive experience promoting many causes through their businesses. Your panelists will touch on why they support local charities, how to budget toward them, the challenges of getting started, and how to involve your employees in the process.

The Cause Marketing Panelists include Gary Glover, president of Puritan Cleaners; Sarah Paxton, VP of La DIFFERÉNCE; Mark Smith, owner of Midas of Richmond; and Gary Weiner, president/CEO of Saxon Shoes. This event will be moderated by Nancy Thomas, president/CEO of RMA.

Exhibitors of the Expo are offering “Day of Show Specials” which are discounted packages and deals exhibitors offer to attendees who are present on the day of the Expo.
