Richmond, VA (March 11, 2013) – The RAM Small Cap Core investment strategy achieved “Top Gun” status for four different categories within the Informa Investment Solutions’ manager ranking database for the fourth quarter of 2012. The categories included the Bull & Bear Masters Small Cap Core Equity Universe, which is based on three-year risk adjusted return measures.
“We are pleased that our investment strategy is beginning to stand out amongst our peers on a longer term, risk adjusted basis,” said Managing Member Scott Redmond.
Since 2007, Redmond has led the RAM Small Cap Core strategy, which utilizes a fundamental, bottom-up investment process to invest in a broad ensemble of unique or distinguished companies. The RAM Small Cap Core strategy is available to institutions, nonprofit organizations, endowments, and high net worth individuals via separately managed accounts.
In order to achieve “Top Gun” status from Informa, an investment product must place among the top 10 performers within one or more peer groups. The Top Guns performance rankings are tabulated for thousands of strategies across 58 peer groups. The Small Cap Core Equity Universe included 125 firms and 155 products at year-end.
