Last year’s inaugural Generosity Inc. list and event celebrated 40 local companies that donated to charitable organizations.
The time has come again to shine a light on Richmond’s philanthropic side.
Richmond BizSense is excited to present the second annual Generosity Inc.: RVA’s Top Corporate Donors.
This popular list and event is back again to recognize businesses in the region that gave money to charitable organizations in 2014.
Beginning this week and throughout the month of March, BizSense will put out a survey to all businesses in the area to find corporate donors of all sizes and recognize their efforts.
Both locally based and out-of-town firms with local operations are eligible to participate.
Last year’s results showed that Richmond companies both large and small – and their employees – give generously to a variety of causes. Participants included Fortune 500s, local banks, law firms, grocery chains and small- and medium-sized companies of all industries.
We realize that some firms prefer to make donations quietly and not publicize their efforts. This program was created not to allow for bragging rights, but rather to recognize and honor those firms that help maintain the health of the region’s nonprofits, even with small donations.
And perhaps most importantly, Generosity Inc. will highlight the charities and nonprofits that benefit from local support.
This year’s participants will be honored at an event on April 16 at Maymont. More details on the event will be available in the coming weeks.
The deadline for participation in Generosity Inc. is April 3.
As we did last year, BizSense encourages you – whether you’re the big boss or the person in charge of a company’s giving programs – to have your business participate and help paint a picture of the region’s generosity.
If you’ve previously participated in any of the BizSense Lists over the last few years, there’s no need to fill out an entire new application. Our researcher will be in contact with you shortly with a link for the necessary information.
If you have never applied to a BizSense List, please follow this link to have someone from your firm complete a brief survey.
