Tier cap forming apparatus
Patent No. 9,199,426
A pallet tier cap forming apparatus is provided for forming a horizontal planar paperboard blank into a pallet tier cap. The blank includes a generally rectangular center panel having four edges, and four flaps connected by fold lines with the center panel edges, respectively. A blank transport device initially displaces the blank laterally in a first diagonal direction for simultaneous engagement with a first orthogonally arranged pair of drag walls, and vertically upwardly, thereby to break downwardly about associated fold lines a first pair of adjacent flaps of the blank. The blank is further displaced laterally in the first direction, thereby to reversely fold back the first pair of flaps about the associated wall junctions toward an acute angle relative to the blank center panel. The blank is then displaced in the opposite diagonal direction, and the forming steps are repeated to fold downwardly simultaneously a second pair of flaps.

Game clip popularity based control
Patent No. 9,199,165
Example apparatus and methods concern managing the encoding and storing of game clips that are automatically generated to record video game highlights. Encoding game clips for smooth streaming using adaptive bit rates requires significant processing resources and storing the multiple bit rate encodings consumes significant storage. Therefore, example apparatus and methods compute a predicted popularity for a game clip based on user factors (e.g., status), video game factors (e.g., popularity), game clip factors (e.g., importance of event, uniqueness of event), or other factors. Predicted popularity may differ from actual popularity, therefore the popularity score may be recomputed using actual observations (e.g., number of views of the game clip). Additionally, actual observations may identify correlations between the factors used to predict popularity and the factors that actually determine popularity. Therefore, the prediction function may be dynamically updated to improve the prediction function and thus to improve the user experience.

Assign photographers on an event invite and automate requesting, uploading, and sharing of photos and videos for an event
Patent No. 9,202,205
Methods, program products and systems to assign photographers on an event invite and automate requesting, uploading and sharing of the event’s photos/videos are described here. The solution would allow to assign photographers for an event using the event’s invite itself, indirectly triggering the auto-creation of a new photo/video album and allowing the photographer invitees to upload their photos/videos for the event, either real-time or manually at a later time. Thereafter, once an event is complete, the event’s photo/video album would be either automatically or manually shared with the event’s guests depending upon the preferences set by the event’s owner.
