Generosity Inc.: Richmond philanthropy’s big night out

Beer and philanthropy paired well together Wednesday evening at Richmond BizSense’s Generosity Inc., our annual celebration of the region’s corporate donors, presented by Sands Anderson.

Held at Triple Crossing Brewing’s new Fulton facility, the event honored the 51 companies ranked in the Generosity Inc. list, which showed that those firms gave a total of $33.7 million to area charities.

You can find the full list here. It’s open to everyone.

Special thanks to the Generosity Inc. sponsors, which, in addition to presenting sponsor Sands Anderson, included TowneBank, the Graduate Hotel and the Chesterfield Observer.

Enjoy the slideshow above, shot by photographer Tom Veazey, for some scenes from the evening, and be sure to get your company on the Generosity Inc. list next year.

For any readers that didn’t participate in the list this year, please consider doing so in 2018. If you know of any philanthropic companies that should be recognized, please encourage them to complete our survey next spring, or email us and we’ll try to track them down for next year.

If you didn’t participate in this year’s list but want to make sure you’re not left out next time, please email researcher Michelle Pearson at [email protected]. She can add you to our contact list to make sure you get the survey instructions next spring.
