More Broad Street frontage has been snatched up downtown.
Palindrome Creative Co., a firm that does work from branding and photography to interior design and copywriting, opened in recent weeks at 102 W. Broad St.
The 750-square-foot space will serve as an office and creative hub, and is the first dedicated space for the firm, launched in January by sisters Kate and Anna Thompson.
The new digs bring together various services offered by Palindrome’s staff of four.
Kate will focus on the photography. Her Betty Clicker Photography businesses also will operate out of the space, both independently and in conjunction with Palindrome.
Anna will oversee graphic design and illustrations, incorporating a letter press to create and sell letterheads, cards and graphic prints. Isabel Eckrosh, previously a residential interior designer, will handle commercial and industrial design. And Shannon O’Neill will do the writing and editing.
“We feel it’s easier on the client to be able to offer all the services they are looking for in one location,” Kate said.
Combined, the group’s client list includes Navy Hill Tonic, Dear Neighbor, Shagbark, Metzger Bar + Butchery, Sugar & Twine and The Scout Guide.
Broker Ann Schweitzer Riley with One South Commercial handled the lease for Palindrome’s storefront. It was previously home to Turnstyle, a vinyl record and clothing store.
Palindrome adds to a list of new arrivals along that downtown stretch of Broad Street.
It’s A Man’s World, a self-described men’s upscale consignment shop, opened last month at 100 W. Broad St. Electric Consignment has plans to open this fall at 312 Brook Road.
Other businesses that have filed into the crossroads of Adams, Brook and Broad over the last year include Little Nomad, Civilization Tattoo and Rider Boot.
