The priciest home sale in Richmond last month went to a local real estate agent who listed and sold her own residence.

Joyner Fine Properties’ Lacy Williams had the top sale for October with her residence at 1832 Monument Ave. The 5,400-square-foot rowhouse sold Oct. 20 for $1.32 million, above its July 19 list price of $1.29 million.

City property records list the buyer as Katherine Gates Teasley, who Williams said is moving from out of town. Teasley was represented by April Straus of Bobby + April.

Williams and her husband, William White Jr., purchased the five-bedroom, 5½-bath house in 2009 for $1 million, according to property records. The latest city assessment valued the 0.12-acre property at $1.11 million.

Williams – no stranger to million-dollar home sales, having sold 2315 Monument Ave. in 2015 for $2.22 million, and 8905 Brennan Road in Henrico County earlier this year for $1.25 million – said selling her own home was easier because she was familiar with its details and could more thoroughly discuss updates she and her husband made to the property.

“I can tell them exactly what improvements have been done on it,” said Williams, who also represented the buyers of the nearly 10,000-square-foot “Windward” mansion in August. “There were probably seven or eight showings, which is pretty good for that price point.”

Built in 1910, the three-story home was designed by Noland and Baskervill and consists of updated rooms with 11-foot ceilings, pocket doors, leaded glass windows and curvilinear windows.

The house includes a wine cellar and eight gas fireplaces, along with a second-floor master suite, renovated master bath, and a carriage house with one-car garage, living area and a bedrooms, bathroom and kitchenette. The property also includes a rear deck and patio.

Rounding out the top five home sales for October were, according to the Central Virginia Regional Multiple Listing Service:

  • 16054 Old Castle Road, Chesterfield – $1.01 million
  • 12708 Westin Estates Drive, Henrico – $977,350
  • 3805 Sulgrave Road, Richmond – $945,000
  • 160 Honey Locust, Goochland – $940,000
