Departures

Michael Pirron, CEO and founder of Impact Makers, has left the firm.  He remains on the board of directors.

Dorinda Smith, president and CEO of SunTrust Mortgage, is retiring, effective March 31.  Todd Chamberlain will succeed her and become president of SunTrust Mortgage and executive vice president and head of mortgage for SunTrust Banks.

Law

Ryan O’Toole has joined Eckert Seamans as the manager of government relations.  He had been a policy advisor to Gov. Terry McAuliffe.  He has degrees from Fordham University and Virginia Tech.

At Troutman Sanders:

Jonathan Lautt has joined the multifamily housing finance practice as a partner.  He had been with Bryan Cave.  He focuses his practice on commercial real estate finance with significant experience representing lenders, master servicers and special servicers related to the servicing of real estate loans.

Chris Forstner has been promoted to partner in the intellectual property practice.  He focuses his practice on all aspects of intellectual property law, including patent law and litigation, post grant proceedings, patent preparation and prosecution, technology licensing agreements, and strategic portfolio development.

Investments

Jonathan Fortin has joined Heritage Wealth Advisors as director of tax services.  He has degrees from Middlebury College and Western New England University.

Joining Elevation:

Joe Castro is search engine marketing manager.  He had been with Fathom in Cleveland, Ohio. Corey Lane is a senior account executive.  He had been with The Martin Agency. Bryce Praught is an art director/designer.  He had been with Miller Creative in Howell, New Jersey. Lauren Prezioso is a project manager.  She had been with Royall & Co.

Real Estate

Charles Wentworth has been promoted to senior vice president at CBRE | Richmond.  He had been first vice president.

Harman Aujia and Aimee Taylor have joined the Village of Midlothian office of Long & Foster Real Estate as sales associates.

Martin Blum has been appointed director of retail services. Matt Hamilton has been promoted to senior vice president.
