Departures

Peter Prizzio is retiring as chief executive officer of the Daily Planet Health Services.  Beth Merchent will replace him, effective May 1.  She is with Bon Secours.

Law

Thomas R. Waskom and Lawton B. Way have been promoted to partners with Hunton Andrews Kurth.  Waskom focuses his practice on class action, mass tort and environmental litigation. He has degrees from Hampden-Sydney College and the University of Virginia.  Way focuses his practice on securities law, corporate finance, corporate governance and general corporate law. He has degrees from the Virginia Military Institute and the College of William & Mary.

Joining Thought Logic:

Matt Mlot is a consultant. He had been with CarMax and is a graduate of the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill.

Seon Rockwell is a client service leader. She had been with the Virginia Department of Medical Assistance Services is a graduate of the University of Virginia.

Business Services

J.P. Byrum has joined Executive Placements as a recruiting specialist.  He had been with Capital One.

Financial Services

Alec Faulkner has joined RiverFront Investment Group as the regional sales consultant for the Mid-Atlantic region. He is a graduate of Christopher Newport University.

Alina Suyama is project coordinator for the project and development services of JLL.

Joining Baskervill:

Lauren Austin is an interior designer in the hospitality studio. She had been with AECOM and is a graduate of Georgia Southern University.

Chris Broughton is a project designer in the hospitality studio. He had been with Urban Purpose Design and is a graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design.

Adam Johnston is a project designer in the manufacturing and logistics studio. He had been with Blair-Dumond and is a graduate of Virginia Tech.

Kathy Thomas is a specifications writer. She had been with Interface and is a graduate of Virginia Tech.

Joining HG Design Studio:

Phillip Merritt is a landscape architect. Marshall Eichfeld is a civil engineer.

Carolyn Hayes and Beth Kipp have joined the Bellgrade office of Long & Foster Real Estate as Realtors.

Avonda Turner is a graphic designer in the marketing and design group. She is a graduate of Old Dominion University.

Brandon Carlton is network administrator in the information and technology group. He had been with the Newport News Police Department and is a graduate of Columbian Southern University.

T. Winston Price and Geoffrey A. Sulanke have joined the board of directors. Kenneth S. Gregory and Ann N. Richmond have joined the executive committee.

Nicolai Shuman is chief operating officer.  Travis Snellings has been promoted to executive vice president.
