Process for laying fibrous webs from a centrifugal spinning process

A method for laying down a nanoweb of nanofibers from a centrifugal spinning process by a combination of an air flow field and a charging arrangement. Fibrous streams in the form of fibrils of molten polymer or polymer solution are discharged from a rotating member into an air flow field that is essentially parallel to the direction of discharge of fibrils at the point of discharge of the fibrils. The fibrous streams are attentuated and directed by means of the air flow field onto the surface of a collector to form a nanoweb. The fibrous streams are charged along all or at least a portion of their route from the point of discharge to the surface of the collector.

Method of wrapping mica paper on an electrical conductor and mica paper tape suitable for same

A method is disclosed of applying a mica paper around an electrical conductor, the process including attaching the tape comprising the mica paper to the conductor at an attachment point on the conductor; winding the tape around the conductor surface until the tape has been wound to a point that is at least 25 percent of the conductor circumference from the attachment point and then initiating a continuous removal of the support layer from the tape, starting at the attachment point; the mica paper remaining in contact with the surface of the conductor; and continuing to wind the tape around the conductor while simultaneously removing the support layer at a removal point until a desired amount of conductor surface is completely covered with at least one layer of the mica paper, with the proviso that the removal point is maintained at least 25 percent of the conductor circumference behind the winding point until the desired amount of conductor surface is completely covered. A tape is also disclosed of mica paper and a support layer, wherein the mica paper; wherein the initial elongation of the support layer is equal to or less than the initial elongation of the mica paper; and wherein the support layer is demountably attached to the mica paper such that when a delamination force of 10 N/10 mm or less is imposed on the support layer it can be separated from the mica paper.

An oral product includes a matrix including a mixture of a plurality of capsules, a powdered component, a viscous component and a binder and wherein the matrix is molded into a shape. In a preferred embodiment, the capsules provide functional and flavorful ingredients. In an embodiment, the matrix is enclosed in a porous material that forms a pouch.

A method of making a fiber-reinforced composite structure comprises the steps of (i) forming a paper sheet having a Gurley air resistance at least 200 seconds per 100 milliliters, the sheet comprising from 30 to 70 weight percent p-aramid fiber, (ii) depositing on both surfaces of the paper sheet a compression enhancing layer in a quantity up to 5 weight percent based on the weight of the paper, (iii) forming a honeycomb from the sheet of step (ii), and (iv) applying a matrix resin coating to the honeycomb of step (iii).

Methods for reducing surface fouling in fuel production systems

Methods for preventing or reducing fouling of equipment having a metal surface that contacts a reaction byproduct in a fuel production system are provided. The method may include treating the metal surface in the fuel production system by contacting a fouling inhibitor with the metal surface. The fouling inhibitor includes a bicyclic organic compound with an aromatic ring and a heterocyclic ring, and is delivered to the metal surface of the system in sufficient amount and for sufficient time to reduce a fouling deposit on at least a portion of the metal surface.
