Jared Throne

Red Orange Studio hired Jared Throne as a graphic designer. He previously was with Barber Martin Agency. Red Orange is working on a new website and brand refresh for Bayview Physicians Group in Hampton Roads.

The King Agency hired Jeremy Clardy as senior designer/web developer. He previously worked with Charles Ryan Associates and Circle S Studios and has a bachelor’s degree from International Academy of Design & Technology.

King launched the final spot in a branding campaign for McGeorge Toyota. The spot, which highlights the dealership’s McGeorge Care program, was produced in collaboration with Dreams Factory. Marketing for the campaign focused on TV and social media promotion.

Studio Flatland’s animated spot for Priority Automotive won a platinum award at the Muse Creative Awards and a Gold Telly at this year’s Telly Awards. The spot was created with Davis Ad Agency in Virginia Beach. Flatland also won a Bronze Telly for a spot for Truth Initiative, a collaboration with MDB Communications in Washington, D.C. Both featured frame-by-frame and hand-drawn animation and painted backgrounds.

J Drake Graphic Design won a gold in the Hermes Creative Awards and a bronze Indigo Award for its logo design for local hardscape company RVA Ponds and Water Gardens LLC. The logo and a new website are set to roll out this summer. J Drake also was hired to redesign websites for sign shop Kinetic Wraps & Custom Signs and home design firm MB Design Services.

Mondial produced a 90-second clip for video doorbell maker Nest.

Madison+Main and the Virginia Office of the Attorney General received a 2018 Excellence in New Communications Award from the Society for New Communications Research of The Conference Board for the office’s Respect Richmond anti-gang/gun violence campaign. The award is the second for the office and agency, which won last year for an anti-human trafficking campaign.

Addison Clark designed a mobile-friendly website for The Tuckahoe Woman’s Club. The site includes a members-only section with an online version of the club’s yearbook and an events calendar with member sign-up.

Ndp developed bus wraps for VCU Health that are running on GRTC Pulse buses. The campaign includes interior bus advertising that will rotate throughout the year, focusing on topics such as asthma awareness, flu, healthy behaviors, heart health and diabetes.

Kelley developed a two-minute animated spot for Dodson Property Management detailing the company’s services and process for real estate owners. The spot involved local motion designer Liz Lukens and sound effects from Paul Schmidt.

LRL Racing launched a summer internship program with six students: Julie Overton, VCU; Miranda Rigg and Danielle Davis, JMU; Adriana Draper, Longwood; Lauren Martin, Christopher Newport; and Kirsten Hatton, Susquehanna University. They will work on projects for PBR 8Seconds cologne, NASCAR and IMSA Racing.

BigTree launched websites for local wallpaper company Imagine Studios and Castleburg Brewery and added Eye Roll Pictures in New York as a client. Work for the camera rental and film production business will include branding and website design and development.

Yogg picked up Green Orthodontics as a client. The Decatur, Georgia practice hired the agency to design and produce a branding and identity package. Initial work will include logo design and a website refresh.

Colab built a game for Virginia Lottery as part of its Ford Expedition summer promotion. Called “Game Guy’s Expedition Expeditions,” the game invites players to navigate Game Guy and his friends on an adventure through Virginia in an Expedition for a chance to win a gift card.

Think completed design and production for the summer issue of Collegiate School’s SPARK magazine. The agency was hired by local gift company Gifted to design a Richmond-themed T-shirt for a fundraising campaign to benefit Safe Harbor.

Kyle Calian and Davis Burroughs launched The Regeneration Co., a branding arm of their Regeneration Magazine, which relocated operations from New York to Manchester.
