Elizabeth Burneson and Donald Kendall have joined Hirschler as associates. Burneson focuses her practice in alternative dispute resolution, trial and post-trial matters. She has degrees from Lynchburg College and the University of Richmond. Kendall focuses his practice in commercial real estate transactions and related business considerations. He has degrees from Virginia Tech and the University of North Carolina.


William Smith has been appointed interim chief of police for the Richmond Police Department. He was appointed deputy chief and acting chief of police in 2018. He is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University.


At Virginia Commonwealth Bank:

Steve Wright is senior vice president and chief information officer. He had been with Xenith Bank.

Kylie Bransford has been promoted to senior vice president. She is a graduate of Susquehanna University in Pennsylvania.

Real Estate

Zach Hernandez has joined S. L. Nusbaum Realty Co. as a sales and leasing associate. He had been with CoStar and is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University.

James R. Chapman is executive vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer.

P. Rodney Blevins is president and chief executive officer for Southeast Energy Group.

Carlos M. Brown is senior vice president and general counsel.


Laura Bowser is chief executive officer for TMI Consulting Inc. She had been chief operating officer.
