Departure

Robert Rideout Jr. has retired from Christian & Barton as firm administrator, a role he had for 25 years. Paul Mustian has been named as his replacement. Mustian has degrees from Virginia Tech and Virginia Commonwealth University.

Law

Bobby Turnage Jr. has joined Sands Anderson and will lead the cybersecurity and technology team. He had been with Venable and has degrees from VCU and the University of Mississippi.

Thomas “Duggan” O’Dea has joined ThompsonMcMullan as an associate. His practice focuses on corporate governance and general business counsel, including real estate matters and corporate finance transactions. He has degrees from the College of William and Mary and the University of Richmond.

Joseph McNally Jr. has joined the workers’ compensation group at McCandlish Holton.

At Troutman Sanders:

Brooks Smith is managing partner.

Tiffany Bagwell, Peter Strup, Marshall Tucker and Virginia Bell Flynn have been promoted to partners.

At VCU Health System:

Deborah Davis has been appointed chief of strategic initiatives. She has served as CEO of VCU Hospitals and Clinics.

Shane Cerone is interim CEO of VCU Hospitals and Clinics. He is the founder of Health Market Solutions.

 

Banking

Kylie Bransford has been promoted to senior vice president at Virginia Commonwealth Bank. She is a graduate of Susquehanna University in Pennsylvania.

Accounting

At Meadows Urquhart Acree & Cook:

Desiree Bryan has been named partner. She had been a tax director for the past four years and focuses her practice on high net worth and self-employed individuals.

Matt Thorpe was promoted to manager.

Kris Jones was promoted to in-charge accountant.

Sean Rutherford is a senior accountant.
