Supervisors elected Leslie Haley as chairwoman for 2019. The Midlothian District supervisor previously served as vice chair in 2017 and 2018. Matoaca District Supervisor Steve Elswick was selected as vice chair for 2019. He previously served as chairman in 2015 and 2016 and as vice chair in 2013 and 2014.

Supervisors meet in regular session Wednesday at 6 p.m. Business includes a public hearing on Woolridge Investment Co.’s request to rezone 120 acres at 5500 Woolridge Road for a development to include up to 215 homes, a 115-bed assisted living facility and 15,000 square feet of primarily medical office space. Hanover
Supervisors meet Wednesday at 6 p.m. Business includes a public hearing on a 20-year lease between the county and Luck Stone Corp. for a new hangar at Hanover County Airport that the county will finance with a Virginia Resources Authority loan. The hangar would be built on one of several pad sites recently completed on the east side of the airport, along with other improvements, including an additional taxiway and apron. Henrico
Supervisors meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. Business includes public hearings on Gumenick Properties’ request to rezone and permit new uses for two parcels adjacent to its Libbie Mill development, including a former Wells Fargo branch site at Staples Mill and Bethlehem roads. Full agenda here.

The planning commission meets Wednesday at 9 a.m. to review subdivisions and plans of development. Business includes Timmons Group’s plans for the fifth section of HHHunt’s River Mill development, to consist of 50 single-family homes on 23 acres. The commission also will review AES Consulting Engineers’ plans for Hungary Road Investments for 23 detached homes with zero lot lines on nearly 10 acres on the north side of Hungary Road west of Fairlake Lane, as well as new homes and condos at West Broad Village. Richmond
The planning commission meets Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. The commission will receive a presentation on a draft citywide analysis of the B-3 General Business zoning district, created to determine if B-3 properties should be rezoned to facilitate development or redevelopment. Full agenda here.

Mayor Levar Stoney will deliver his State of the City address Jan. 31 at 6 p.m. at the Virginia Museum of History & Culture.
