Epsilon-tube filter for blunt noise removal
Patent No. 10,349,896
The present application describes techniques to filter signals contaminated with blunt noise. Calculated filter coefficients may be applied to signals to generate filtered output signals without the blunt noise. Sets of filter coefficients may be calculated utilizing an .epsilon.-tube filter process in conjunction with an autoregressive exogenous (ARX) model. Sets of filter coefficients may be calculated in accordance with a constrained optimization algorithm using data indicative of a source of the blunt noise. When the blunt noise is modeled in accordance with the ARX model, filtered output signals are generated having amplitudes constrained to a selected Epsilon value, which may be the amplitude of a primary component of the unfiltered signal. A set of filter coefficients may be calculated by determining, from the set of filter coefficients that satisfy the constrained optimization algorithm, a solution that produces a filtered output signal having the most time-invariant frequency composition.

Systems and methods for detecting resources responsible for events
Patent No. 10,356,110
Systems and methods are disclosed for identifying resources responsible for events. In one embodiment, a method may include determining a number of unique actors in a plurality of actors that have accessed the resource. The method may further include identifying from the plurality of actors a set of affected actors that has been affected by an event and identifying from the set of affected actors a subset of resource-affected actors that accessed the resource prior to being affected by the event. The method may further include determining a number of resource-affected actors in the subset of resource-affected actors and, based on the number of unique actors and the number of resource-affected actors, determining an event score for the resource. The event score may be a lower bound of a confidence interval of a binomial proportion of the number of resource-affected actors to the number of unique actors.

Redeploying a baseline virtual machine to update a child virtual machine by creating and swapping a virtual disk comprising a clone of the baseline virtual machine
Patent No. 10,360,056
One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for redeploying a baseline VM (BVM) to one or more child VMs (CVMs) by merely cloning virtual drives of the BVM, instead of the entirety of the parent BVM. A temporary directory is created in a datastore that has the target CVMs that are targeted for virtual drive replacement (e.g., are to be “re-baselined”). One or more replacement virtual drives (RVDs) are created in the temporary directory, where the RVDs comprise a clone of a virtual drive of the source BVM. The one or more RVDs are moved from the temporary directory to a directory of the target CVMs, replacing existing virtual drives of the target CVMs so that the target CVMs are thus re-baselined to the state of the parent BVM.
