Bay Banks of Virginia (BAYK)
Douglas F. Jenkins Jr., chief banking officer for the company’s subsidiary, Virginia Commonwealth Bank, notified the firm of his plans to retire effective Jan. 1, 2020. Jenkins and the company entered into a retirement agreement that will pay him a lump sum of $78,235 (an amount equal to 16 weeks’ salary) and a health insurance stipend of $15,000. Following his retirement, Jenkins will serve as a director of VCB Financial Group, the company’s investment management arm.
C&F Financial (CFFI)
The parent of C&F Bank filed additional documents related to its pending acquisition of Peoples Community Bank from Northern Neck. It includes an announcement of the date of a special shareholders meeting to vote on the deal on Dec. 11.
