SpangTV‘s Jordan Rodericks and David Muessig produced a video for Richmond Restaurants United, an initiative to support restaurant workers, owners and operators affected by the coronavirus response. Overcoast handled mixing for the three-minute clip, which features a compilation of interviews with area restaurateurs.

Commonwealth PR helped promote the Richmond Restaurants United video with a making-of interview with Rodericks, who directed the clip.

West Cary Group provided strategic, creative and digital work for the launch of togetheroneregion.org, a website developed in the span of two days by PlanRVA, Emergency Management Alliance of Central Virginia and Community Foundation for a greater Richmond. The site is a resource for people looking to provide support to organizations fighting COVID-19. 

Media Lab produced a blog post for Carreras Jewelers listing how businesses in the Libbie and Grove area are operating during the pandemic.

Michelle Mead

This year’s winner of the Barbara Fultz Women in Advertising Scholarship is Michelle Mead, a rising VCU senior. The $2,500 scholarship is presented annually by Advertising Club of Richmond and Elevation. Mead is to be recognized at the club’s Richmond Show, scheduled to be held June 19.

In Your Ear Studios and VArtisans worked on “The Good Road,” an eight-episode public TV series co-created by local producer Craig Martin. In Your Ear’s Carlos Chafin created the show’s score, with additional engineering by Andrea Stefl. The studio also produced a supplemental podcast, and VArtisans created virtual reality effects for the show.

Fan Area Business Alliance refreshed its website as part of a rebrand led by Made Creative, whose creative director, Charlie Small, is on the group’s board. Work included the website, which was developed by Stovepipe, as well as a logo and a video filmed and produced by Departure Point. The two-minute clip shows various member businesses and owners. Small worked with Mike Ward of Milepost 0 Creative on the video script and concept.

Todd Feldman founded The Rocket Factory, a marketing firm focused on startups and tech companies in Richmond, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.

Evergib is creating an ad campaign for VPM related to the Richmond-based media company’s name change last year. The agency is collaborating with local photographer Tania del Carmen on a photo series called #OnHoldAtHome documenting stories of Richmonders during COVID-19.
