This is another corridor in the City which may surprise you in how it seems to have arisen from nowhere. Drive West Broad Street from Westmoreland to Arthur Ashe and marvel at how the buildings hug the sidewalk on the north side. This same change will occur across the street and then north to The Diamond. Much of the credit goes to the City Planning Department efforts to bring this new urbanism to Richmond but also to the development community for refusing to listen to the naysayers that the City is dying under its social changes.
