Familiar Creatures’ logo for this year’s Hot Tomato Summer event.

Familiar Creatures handled marketing for Duke’s Mayo’s second annual Hot Tomato Summer, a weeklong event held in July featuring tomato-and-mayo pairings from local restaurants. Work included an event logo and promotional outreach.

Marcus Reamer

Green Fin Studio hired Marcus Reamer as an environmental communications manager. He is completing a doctorate in environmental science and policy at the University of Miami and served as strategic communications director for the National Marine Sanctuary Foundation.

Torx was contracted by DMA Reserves to develop a content management system to manage its RFP process. The work is the first phase of a larger project to overhaul the local consulting firm’s client management platform.

Torx was hired by Lancaster-based Twin Branch Wellness & Recovery for Women to create and manage a multi-faceted digital marketing campaign. The campaign aims to boost brand awareness and reach women in Central and Northern Virginia who are trying to overcome addiction and chemical dependencies.

Isabelle Thomas

Addison Clark hired Isabelle Thomas as a social media coordinator. The Richmond native graduated from JMU in 2021.

Michael Walsh

The King Agency hired Michael Walsh as senior art director. The Virginia Tech alum was previously at Familiar Creatures and worked in Boston at Arnold Worldwide, MullenLowe and Digitas.

Shapes & Colors by Jolinda was hired by PR firm Gray Ryan Companies and The Anderson Accounting & Advising Group for website redesigns. The Anderson group, formerly Nadia Anderson CPA, also completed a rebrand.
