A Regency Square steakhouse will soon move across town and replace an upscale steakhouse at Short Pump that left the building.
Texas de Brazil will take over the former Copper Grill Lobster & Steak House at Short Pump Town Center in March.
The Dallas-based steak house has operated a 10,000 square foot location at the mall in Henrico County since December 2006, and will close right before the new restaurant opens at Short Pump Town Center, according to a story from the Times-Dispatch.
BizSense first reported that after an eight-year run, Copper Grill closed its doors on Aug. 22 to return to Kansas City, where the chain is based.
The departure is another blow to Regency, as the West End mall has struggled to stay full.
