An Amsterdam-based insurance company has set up shop in Richmond.
Brit Insurance announced yesterday its expansion to Richmond with it first local office in Innsbrook. The company provides insurance to businesses and non-profits.
Brit’s Richmond office will be manned by five employees and will be led by Sharon Wright, a former senior vice president at HCC Insurance.
Davies said in a statement that the new office will expand the company’s work in the public and non-profit sectors providing property and liability coverage.
Founded in 1995, Brit has nine offices in the United Kingdom. The company first established a presence in the U.S. in 2009. Richmond will be the company’s third U.S. location. The local office operates within Brit’s Chicago-based U.S. subsidiary, Brit Insurance Services USA.
