With a refurbished camper from the late ’60s, two former Carytown co-workers are rolling out the next phase of their retail business at local markets.

In its latest alteration to retail options, the Shockoe Bottom clothing company has begun offering custom shirts. And its owners have plans for new products and a second location.

In a national push for hundreds of new stores, the low-cost German grocer launched its first two locations in the Richmond area on Thursday. And they’ll be followed by three more before the end of the year.

The bike store launched its second location late last month in a busy Midlothian shopping center.
