Mondial Assistance USA, based in Henrico County, Virginia, announced it has donated more than $3,000 to the Central Virginia Food Bank (CVFB) as a result of its “Chairs for Charity” drive. The drive was organized by Mondial Assistance associates who sold no-longer-needed desk chairs for $15 each, though most sales generated far more in voluntary donations. The company then matched all the money raised, dollar for dollar.
“We’re proud to support the Central Virginia Food Bank and extremely proud of the generosity our Mondial Assistance team demonstrated through this effort,” said Mark Cipolletti, vice president for communications with Mondial Assistance USA (www.mondialUSA.com). “The drive was organized very spontaneously and it was just a great, creative use of resources.”
Representatives from Mondial Assistance presented a check to the Central Virginia Food Bank. Fay Lohr, President and CEO of CVFB and Roy Peters, vice president of Finance and Administration for CVFB, were on hand to receive the donation.
