Two alumnae have been elected to three-year terms on the University of Richmond Alumni Association board of directors.
Gayle Goodson Butler of Des Moines, Iowa, and Wendy Haynes Eastman of Richmond, Va., began serving July 1.
Butler, a 1973 Westhampton College graduate, is editor-in-chief of Better Homes and Gardens magazine and senior vice president of Meredith Corporation, the media and marketing company that owns Better Homes and other publishing, television broadcasting, integrated marketing and interactive media businesses. She received the Alumni of the University of Richmond Award for Distinguished Service in 2005.
Eastman, a 1976 Robins School of Business graduate, is a professional fundraiser. She and husband Kevin Eastman, a 1977 Richmond alumnus and Boston Celtics assistant coach, also own and operate Kevin Eastman Basketball and Coaching University.
