John A. Moreland III has been promoted to vice president of marketing at Richmond International Raceway. Prior to joining RIR, Moreland served as the senior director of marketing and sales for Michigan International Raceway as well as the Venues Ticketing Manager for the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City. Moreland attended the University of Georgia.

Louis G. Lassiter was appointed assistant county administrator in Chesterfield. He will replace Marilyn Cole, who is retiring after 18 years on the job. Lassiter had been head of the internal audit department for the county. He went to James Madison University and is a CPA.
Accounting
Desiree (Beatty) Bryan was promoted to manager at Meadows Urquhart Acree & Cook. She graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a B.S. in accounting.
Douglas Nickerson joined Keiter Stephens as a manager in the business assurance and advisory services group. Prior to joining Keiter Stephens, Nickerson was an audit manager with the Richmond office of Clifton Gunderson. Nickerson graduated with a BBA in accounting from Radford University.

Sarah Trickey joined Big River as an accounts director. Most recently, Trickey was at DDB Worldwide in Sydney, Australia. Trickey went to Towson University and Bond University in Queensland, Australia.

Hunter W. Jamerson joined Macaulay & Burtch. Jamerson attended law school at the University of Richmond, where he is finishing up an MBA. He received his B.A. in foreign affairs from the University of Virginia. In 2004, he worked for the 9/11 Commission, also known as the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States.
Luke T. Schmitt joined Vandeventer Black to practice in the areas of professional liability, construction law and commercial litigation. Schmitt studied at West Virginia University for both law school and as an undergraduate. Schmitt previously worked as an associate for Bowles Rice McDavid Graff & Love in Charleston, W.Va.
Casaundra M. Maimone joined Vandeventer Black in the professional liability defense group. Maimone received a law degree and bachelor’s degree from William & Mary.
McCandlish Holton promoted four attorneys to director: Jeremy Ball graduated from the United States Military Academy and the University of Virginia School of Law; Michael Gladstone practices in the firm’s litigation group focusing on commercial dispute resolution; Jennifer Minear is an immigration lawyer and attended the University of Maryland and Cornell Law School; Tonia Peake is a commercial real estate lawyer who went to the University of Virginia and the Sorbonne University in Paris and received her law degree from William & Mary.

Bill Atkinson joined BrownGreer in 2002. He went to the University of Richmond for law school and William and Mary as an undergraduate.
Roma Petkauskas joined BrownGreer in 2005. Her practice concentrates on oversight of claims processing. A native of Lithuania, Petkauskas earned a Bachelor of Jurisprudence in International, European Union and Comparative Law from the International University of Concordia Audentes. Petkauskas received a law degree from the University of Richmond.
David Smith joined BrownGreer in 2004 and oversees various aspects of claims administration. Smith received his undergraduate degree from North Carolina State University and a law degree from the University of Richmond.
Phil Strunk joined BrownGreer in 2002. Strunk went to Georgetown and to law school at he University of Richmond.
Frank Trani, who joined BrownGreer in 2003. Trani received his undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska, his law degree from the University of Missouri and a master’s degree in health administration from VCU.

Andrew W. Oxenreiter is senior counsel. Oxenreiter went to law school at the University of Pittsburgh and went to Notre Dame as an undergraduate. He began his legal career as an associate with BrownGreer before joining Spotts Fain in 2007. He returned to BrownGreer as senior counsel in August 2010.
Heather Walczak received her J.D. from the University of Richmond School of Law in 2009.
David D. Abbondanza graduated from the University of Richmond School of Law in 2010 and joined BrownGreer in September 2010.
