Alexander Washington Plaza, LLC v. The Hanson Company, LLC
The plaintiff is a general partner of Washington Plaza Associates, LP, which owns Booker T. Washington Plaza Apartments located in Jackson Ward. In April 2006, the plaintiff and defendant entered into an operating agreement that was amended four times. The plaintiff is asking the court to remove Hanson as a manager and member of Washington Plaza and appoint the plaintiff as sole manager, or, as an alternative, appoint the plaintiff as Liquidating Trustee.

The company advises medical professionals on recovering money owed through the Worker’s Compensation System. The defendants are directors of the firm and the plaintiff alleges that they reduced his salary and compensation and attempted to force the plaintiff out of the company. The lawsuit is seeking a declaratory judgment invalidating new by-laws, reduction of salary and violations of the shareholders agreement, and breach of fiduciary duty, with a judgment of $100,000; judicial dissolution and order of liquidation; and conspiracy to injure in trade of business, with a judgment of $2,064,000.
