Departures

Jordan Shenker,
chief executive of the Jewish Community Center, will relocate to the JCC Association in New York City in October. Shenker has been with the association for seven years. Scott Katz, current chief operating officer for the Weinstein JCC, has been named interim chief executive.

Janelle Waldron joined the King Agency as marketing assistant. Waldron attended James Madison University.

Jay Adams joined the King Agency as a senior art director. He was most recently with the the Martin Agency. He attended Virginia Commonwealth University.

Finance

Bryan Burden
has been promoted to director at Marriott & Co. Burden has been with Marriott & Co. since 2010.  He attended the University of Virginia.

Nicole Diamond joined Interactive Financial Marketing Group as a dealer relationship manager.

Chris Smith joined Interactive Financial Marketing Group as a national sales manager for the Carloan.com Dealer Network.

Katie Millner has been promoted to associate at Matrix Capital Markets Group. She has been with Matrix since 2010. Millner attended the University of Virginia and is enrolled in the MBA program at the University of North Carolina.

Vance Saunders has been promoted to senior associate at Matrix Capital Markets Group. He has been with Matrix since 2006. Saunders has an MBA from Virginia Commonwealth University and attended Longwood University.

Real estate

Matthew J. Raggi joined TGM Realty Investors as an associate. Raggi previously worked for StreamCo.

Matthew DeBlock joined Coldwell Banker Johnson & Thomas Realtors. He attended the University of Connecticut.

Accounting/bookkeeping

Olivia Chin joined Checkright. Chin attended Virginia Commonwealth University.

Tim Barnett joined Checkright as the director of sales and marketing. Barnett most recently served as chief operating officer for Barnett’s Hallmark. He attended Juniata College.

Carrie Wood joined Meadows Urquhart Acree & Cook as a staff accountant. Wood attended Strayer University.  She was previously chief financial officer of the Monticello Area Community Action Agency.

Government

Jakob C. Helmboldt joined the City of Richmond as its first bicycle, pedestrian and trails coordinator. Helmboldt most recently served as program manager for Vanasse Hangen Brustlin.

Health care

Cynthia Bettinger joined Patient First as a physician. Bettinger attended William & Mary and Virginia Commonwealth University. She completed her internship at Chippenham Hospital in Richmond and completed her residency at Chesterfield Family Practice.

Entertainment

Diana Cohen will join the Richmond Symphony as concertmaster effective Sept. 17. Cohen previously served as concertmaster of the Charleston Symphony, Kalamazoo Symphony, National Repertory Orchestra, Iris Orchestra and Red. She attended the Cleveland Institute of Music.

Technology

Charles Mike joined GroundWork Design as alternate markets architect.

Consulting

Lynn Kaerwer joined Environmental Resources Management, Inc., as a senior project manager. She attended the University of Tulsa and Rice University.

Andrew McBride has been elected president of the Association of University Architects.
