Michael T. Dan will retire as president and chief executive of the Brinks Company effective Dec. 23. Dan has been with the company since 1982. He served as president and chief executive since 1998 and as chairman of the board of directors since 1999.

Angela Axselle joined Goodman Allen & Filetti. Axselle was formerly with the Office of the Attorney General.

Krystle Waldron joined Goodman Allen & Filetti as an associate in its veterans benefit practice group. Waldron attended law school at William and Mary.

Real estate

Matt Stroud joined Dodson Property Management as a property manager. Stroud previously worked at Bank of America.

Wood Thornton joined CBRE as vice president of global corporate services. Thornton was previously with Grubb & Ellis/Harrison & Bates.

Higher education

Malcolm Hill was appointed associate dean in the School of Arts and Sciences at the University of Richmond. Hill is an associate professor of biology. The appointment is effective in January.

Vincent Wei-cheng Wang was appointed associate dean in the School of Arts and Sciences at the University of Richmond. Wang is a professor of political science. The appointment is effective in January.

Lisa Gentil was appointed associate dean in the School of Arts and Sciences at the University of Richmond. Gentil is an associate professor of chemistry. The appointment is effective in January.

Health care

Julie Bragg was named community outreach director for Richmond Eye & Ear and Stony Point Surgery Center. Bragg was previously a community relations specialist for Sheltering Arms Physical Rehabilitation Centers. She attended James Madison University.

Technology

Jessica Myers joined Networking Technologies and Support as a receptionist.

Consulting

James T. Hoffman joined Davis Consultants as a registered lobbyist. Hoffman attended Hampden-Sydney College.

Michele A. Mulligan was elected to the board of directors of the Central Virginia Chapter of Community Associations Institute. Mulligan is an attorney with MercerTrigiani.
