The hotel at Chesterfield Towne Center is getting a $3 million makeover and being resurrected as a La Quinta.
The hotel, owned by the Daniel Group, has been a Days Inn since it opened in 1989, but when the 20-year contract with the hotel chain expired, hotel manager Timothy Armitage decided to jump ship.
“We knew we wanted to spend some money to renovate, and we wanted to have a strong brand behind it. La Quinta was that,” he said. “Days Inn wanted us to re-up, but we went with La Quinta instead.”
The hotel, which is off Huguenot Road near Midlothian Turnpike, relies on business from corporate clients during the week and tourists and sports teams on the weekends, Armitage said.

Is Timothy Armitage the hotel owner? If so, what is the name of his hotel management company.
Great! Seems like that the hotel management group is stepping up and making things better for the hotel and the area. Great decision.
