Associates gave time, money to Angel Tree, CVFB & American Heart Association

RICHMOND, Va., Mar. 28, 2012 — Henrico-based Allianz Global Assistance USA, formerly Mondial Assistance USA, donated more than $70,000 to charities, most within the greater Richmond region, in 2011, and associates gave both time and money to local causes, such as the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program, through company-sponsored activities. Also in 2011, Allianz Global Assistance USA received the Employer All-Star Award for Community Involvement from the Society for Human Resource Management. The Community Involvement Award recognizes the company’s volunteerism and financial support of charitable organizations, educational organizations and community service groups.

“Through our associate-directed giving, corporate giving, scholarships and volunteerism programs, Allianz Global Assistance USA aims to give back to the Richmond community we’ve called home for more than 20 years,” said Mark Cipolletti, vice president of communications for Allianz Global Assistance USA. “Our associates have told us that they care deeply about giving back to the community.”
