Edward T. White joined LeClairRyan as a partner in the firm’s intellectual property and technology practice. He was most recently with Hunton & Williams. White attended law school at the University of New Hampshire and went to Tulane University as an undergraduate.

Janet Cho joined LeClairRyan as an associate in the firm’s intellectual property and technology practice. She was most recently with Hunton & Williams. Cho attended law school at the University of New Hampshire, has a master’s from New York University and attended the University of Michigan as an undergraduate.

Terence Metz joined First Community Bank as vice president/business lender for the Richmond area. Most recently, Metz worked for Wells Fargo Advisors as a financial adviser. He attended Longwood University.

Bret Jordan joined BB&T Capital Markets as automotive aftermarket senior equity research analyst.

Jean Whitehurst joined Daniels and Associates as business development manager. Prior to joining D&A, Whitehurst was a principal and director of business development at HC Yu and Associates.

Chris Shearon joined Kinsale Insurance as a senior underwriter. He was previously with Alterra.

Carmen Dickey joined Kinsale Insurance as a senior underwriter. Dickey was previously with Alterra.

Alex Kane joined Kinsale Insurance as an associate underwriter. Kane attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Andrew Bowen joined Kinsale Insurance as an associate underwriter. Bowen attended Marshall University.

Lynn H. Pharr will join United Way of Greater Richmond & Petersburg as chief executive effective May 1. She currently serves as executive vice president and chief development officer for United Way of Metro Tarrant County in Fort Worth. She succeeds Sherrie Brach, who served as United Way’s chief executive from 2000 to 2011. Brach joined United Way Worldwide as executive vice president for investor relations.
