Richmond, March 13, 2013 — Saks Fifth Avenue Richmond is pleased to announce a Rebecca Minkoff personal appearance on Thursday, March 14. The renowned contemporary lifestyle designer will be showcasing her spring collections, including handbags, shoes, jewelry and ready-to-wear. The Spring 2013 collection is a nod to iconic ’60s and ’70s photographer Slim Aarons. Inspired by Aarons’s glamorously captured images of socialites, jet-setters and celebrities lounging poolside, the collection reflects a feminine-meets-tomboy muse.
To celebrate Rebecca Minkoff’s personal appearance, Saks Fifth Avenue Richmond will be hosting an event evoking the same carefree, beachy spirit through her trademark beauty and DIY animation with great music, fun food and drinks — all tying into the themes, color palettes and concepts of the current season. From 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., Saks and Rebecca Minkoff will be hosting a “Girl’s Night Out,” including a custom nail and ponytail bar by Mango Salon, music by Choice Entertainment, makeovers by Chanel, as well as cocktails and light bites. Guests will be able to meet Rebecca and get their Rebecca Minkoff purchase personally signed by the designer.
Saks Fifth Avenue Richmond will also be donating a portion of the event sales to benefit SCAN (Stop Child Abuse Now), an organization dedicated to prevent child abuse and neglect in the Greater Richmond area.
