Departures

Rene Ferran, who has been the chief financial officer of the Martin Agency for 21 years, will retire at the end of June. Janet White has been promoted to fill the position. White joined the agency as a staff accountant in 1992. She attended East Carolina University and the University of Richmond.

Jerry McQuade, vice president of human resources and administration at Swedish Match, has retired. Joy Everly will fill the position. She joined the company in 2000 as manager of human resources and attended Kentucky Wesleyan College.

Laura Windsor will leave Troutman Sanders, where she worked as an associate for nine years before becoming counsel. Windsor joined Williams Mullen as a partner in the labor and employment practice. She attended Georgia State University. She was named among Virginia Business Magazine’s Legal Elite in 2009 and 2011.

Jake Servinsky joined Jones Lang LaSalle as an associate. He has more than seven years of experience as an environmental consultant. Most recently, Servinsky was a project manager at ONE Environmental Group and focused on project and client management and business development.

Eric B. Robison has been promoted to senior vice president. Robison joined the Richmond office in 2004 and leads the firm’s capital markets group.

Dwayne A. Faria has been promoted to first vice president. Faria manages all property types, including retail, office, medical and industrial. He has been a portfolio manager in the firm’s Richmond office since 1995.

Bruce Bigger has been promoted to vice president. He joined the Richmond office in 2006 and specializes in corporate services and retail site selection. Bigger attended the University of Virginia.

Nicki Jassy has been promoted to vice president. She joined the Richmond office in 2004 and specializes in both tenant and landlord representation in the retail sector.

Finance

Matt Improta has been promoted to associate at investment banking firm Marriott & Co. Improta has been with Marriott & Co. since 2010. He attended the University of Richmond.

Brian Chase has been elected a director of Spotts Fain. He is a member of the firm’s business section, and his practice focuses on commercial real estate transactions, general corporate and environmental matters.

Staffing

George Sirris has joined UDig as a technical recruiter. Sirris attended George Mason University. Before joining UDig, George was with Liberty Tax Service.

Insurance

Michael Logan and Kayla Gregware joined State Farm as personal account representatives. Logan attended Hampton-Sydney University, and Gregware attended Liberty University.

Museums

The Virginia Association of Museums announced the following new council members:

Eric App was appointed director for history. App is director of museum operations at the Museum of the Confederacy. He has 23 years of industry experience and has worked at a number of museums and historic sites in the Richmond area, including the Valentine Richmond History Center, Sherwood Forest and Shirley Plantations.

Tricia Brooks will be director for Tidewater Virginia. For the past four years, Brooks has been manager of African American initiatives at the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation. She has 18 years of museum experience.

Lisa Martin will be director-at-large. Martin is the senior program manager for the Reynolds Homestead, a Commonwealth Campus Center of Virginia Tech. Prior to joining the Reynolds Homestead, she taught English for 12 years and served as marketing manager and new product development manager for CPFilms, Inc.

Accounting

Jason Long has been promoted to principal at Yount, Hyde & Barbour. Long joined Yount, Hyde & Barbour in 2002 at the company headquarters in Winchester. He attended Virginia Tech.
