Margo Carlock left her post as executive director of the governing council of the Virginia Association of Museums. Jennifer Thomas has been appointed interim director. Thomas was previously the organization’s deputy director.

Kyle A. Gragnani joined the Innsbrook office of Long & Foster. He attended East Carolina University.
Law
Dale G. Mullen joined McGuireWoods as a partner. His practice will focus on environmental regulatory and compliance matters. Mullen was previously county attorney and administrator for Louisa County. He is a Navy veteran and attended the University of Richmond’s law school.
Mark C. Shuford joined Spencer LLP as a partner. Shuford attended the law school at Washington & Lee. He had been a partner in the Richmond office of Kaufman and Canoles.

ChildFund International appointed three board members:
Elizabeth A. (Betsy) Flanagan is vice president for development and university relations at Virginia Tech and executive vice president of the Virginia Tech Foundation. She led a campaign that raised more than $1 billion for the university.
Ed Grier is dean of the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Business. Before coming to VCU, Grier spent 29 years with the Walt Disney Company. In Anaheim, Calif., Grier served as president of Disneyland Resort.
Anne Waleski has been vice president and chief financial officer at Markel Corporation since May 2010. Waleski was treasurer from 2003 until her promotion and assistant treasurer from 1996 until 2003.
United Methodist Family Services announced the following hires:
NeAsa Johnson joined the child and family healing center as a relief youth counselor. She was previously with the Journey House.
Ashley Krol joined the child and family healing center as a relief youth counselor. She was previously with the Boys & Girls Club.
Crysta Fischer joined as a nurse at Leland House in Fairfax. She was previously with INOVA Fairfax Hospital.
Arthur Wright joined the child and family healing center as an overnight relief youth counselor. He was previously with Hallmark Youth Care.
Alexander Strittmatter joined the south central regional center as a mentor. He attended Longwood University.
Patricia Macaluso joined the child and family healing center as an evening youth counselor. She was previously with Recover Center of Virginia.
Tara C. Quinn has been promoted to executive director of the Capital Region Land Conservancy. She was previously program manager and has been with the conservancy since 2010.

CarLotz announced the following personnel moves:
Becca Hertz was promoted to head coach. She came to CarLotz last year from Enterprise Rent-a-Car.
Matt Stepanich was promoted to head coach. He manages auction buying for CarLotz.
Brent Garrett joined as general manager of the Hampton Roads area store in Chesapeake. Garrett comes from Enterprise Rent-a-Car, where he managed Enterprise’s Fleet Business.
Nick Stone joined as a coach of the Hampton Roads area store in Chesapeake. He previously worked in real estate.

Health Diagnostic Laboratory announced the following hires:
Douglas L. Sbertoli has been named vice president and corporate counsel. Sbertoli had led the public finance practice group at LeClairRyan in Richmond since 1993. He attended the University of Virginia and the College of William and Mary.
Nicholas J. Pace has been named executive vice president of operations, compliance and regulatory. He is a former executive vice president with Amerigroup. Pace was also assistant general counsel of CarMax earlier in his career and practiced corporate law at a firm in Silicon Valley. He attended the University of Richmond.
Property management
Chris McCracken joined Dodson Property Management as a property manager. McCracken previously worked for Bank of America.
Finance
Betty Schutte-Box and Jessica Harris joined Wells Fargo Advisors. Schutte-Box joined as first vice president for investments, and Harris joined as a senior client associate.
