Elliott Davis has tapped W. Mark Rudolph to lead its Richmond practice. Rudolph, who joined the firm in February, is a former managing partner of Virginia-based accounting firm Yount, Hyde and Barbour. He has spent his 28-year accounting career serving a wide range of clients across the state.

Richmond Ballet announced that Carolyn Davidson will join the company as director of development. Davidson comes to Richmond Ballet after serving as the Central Virginia director of the Virginia Opera Association for 11 years.

Essex Bank promoted Robert Campbell to commercial lender, AVP, in the real estate lending group located at the Goochland Centerville branch. Campbell joined Essex Bank in June 2011 as a loan portfolio manager.

Middleburg Bank has promoted Kitty Kearns to executive vice president and chief credit officer. Since joining Middleburg in 2011, Kearns has served as senior vice president and regional executive in Leesburg.

Mary Landon has joined Wells Fargo’s commercial real estate lending team that covers Virginia and is based in Richmond.

Hunton & Williams has promoted Tara L. Elgie to counsel. Elgie is a member of the bankruptcy, restructuring and creditor’s rights practice group. She focuses her practice on bankruptcy and creditors’ rights litigation. Elgie is a graduate of Gettysburg College and the University of Richmond School of Law.

Oscar Martin has been appointed chief innovation officer with DuPont Teijin Films Americas in Hopewell. Martin received his PhD in chemical engineering in 2009 from Virginia Commonwealth University and is president of the School of Engineering Foundation Alumni Board.

Metis Creative, a recently created division of Metis Medical Management Services, has hired Paul Blacker as a project manager. Blacker was most recently a project and sales marketing manager with Richweb, a Richmond-based technology solutions provider

WWBT and WUPV Richmond news director Nancy Kent-Smith has been promoted to regional news director for Raycom Media. Kent-Smith will have regional responsibilities for WWBT and WUPV in Richmond and several other stations.

Frank Jones was named news director of WWBT/NBC12 and WUPV/CW Richmond. Jones will lead the daily news operation of WWBT and WUPV. Jones joined WWBT in 1992 and has worked as news producer, executive news producer and assistant news director.

Tina Griego joined Style Weekly as news editor. Griego previously spent 12 years as a city columnist for the Denver Post and Rocky Mountain News. She’s also reported for the Los Angeles Herald-Examiner, the Los Angeles Times and the Albuquerque Tribune.

Chris Bopst joined Style Weekly as calendar editor. Bopst has written about music for 20 years and was previously a music columnist with the Richmond Times-Dispatch.

Erika Gay joined Arena Racing USA as marketing and communications manager. Gay was previously marketing coordinator at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum and marketing and program manager at Venture Richmond. She has more than 10 years of experience in marketing and communications.
