Local retailers are pulling a two-day takeover on a Broad Street gallery.
Black Iris Gallery at 321 W. Broad St. is hosting the High Water Pop-Up Shop on Friday and Saturday. The event will feature clothing, art and furniture from local artists and retailers.
Ledbury and Shockoe Denim will come up from their Shockoe Bottom stores to participate in the event. Furniture purveyor the Odd Couple, record store Steady Sounds and branding firm Release the Hounds will also have merchandise available.
“It fits in really well with the First Friday context of highlighting local artisans and the Richmond aesthetic,” said Benjamin Thorp, a curator for Black Iris Studio.
The shop is open from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and noon to 5 p.m. Saturday.
