A three-year-old Glen Allen tech company has found a suitor.

EASY Software Solutions, headquartered in Innsbrook, was acquired last week by Boston-based recruitment software company Bullhorn. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Founded in 2010 by Jeff Jefferson and Sean Harrington, EASY Software Solutions makes a cloud-based back-office management system that allows staffing company employees to post their hours and expenses from mobile devices.

“It’s a really specific and unique problem for staffing companies, because their workers are all over the place,” said Jefferson, who along with Harrington previously worked at Apex Systems, a Glen Allen IT staffing firm. “For a big recruiting firm, these guys are all over the country.”

The two sides got to know each other in February when EASY Software Solutions’ main product, formerly known as timeshEASY, was added to a Bullhorn online promotional forum for software products. In May, Bullhorn approached EASY about buying the company. The deal closed July 24.

The companies already have about 150 customers in common. That overlap and timeshEASY’s mobile functions led to a purchase that made “a tremendous amount of sense” for Bullhorn, company spokesperson Vinda Rao said.

“They had a very special kind of outstanding capability for mobile especially, and that’s been a focus for us: mobile recruiting solutions,” she said.

Following the deal, operations are essentially the same for EASY and its six employees. They will continue to operate out of a 2,000-square-foot office at Innsbrook. TimeshEASY is now known as Bullhorn Back Office.

“100 percent of our team moved to Bullhorn,” Jefferson said. “For the foreseeable future, we’ll continue to do the same things we’re doing.”

EASY Software Solutions has hundreds of clients in the United States and Canada, Jefferson said, but is looking to expand its reach under the Bullhorn name.

“As a long-term objective within Bullhorn, internationalization is absolutely part of that,” he said.
