Richmond Court Reporting Firm, Cook and Wiley, Celebrates 30 Years in Business

RICHMOND – The court reporting firm of Cook and Wiley celebrated a thirty year milestone in October of this year.

Thirty years ago, partners Jeanne Wiley and Nancy Cook opened the doors to what has become one of the largest court reporting firms in Virginia. Wiley and Cook established the firm in 1984.

Bringing nearly twenty years of experience as a professional stenotype reporter to the formation of the business, Wiley worked with Cook and the two of them consulted attorneys at Browder, Russell, Morris and Butcher to put their business into practice.

Wiley says that she was given a “gentle push” and with some very early clients “gave it a go and never looked back.”

Cook left the firm in 1994 to pursue a legal career. After that Wiley became the sole owner and the firm continued to grow.

Today many of the court reporters have over ten years of experience with Cook and Wiley. Some have been with the firm as long as twenty years.

Cook and Wiley provides court reporting services in the Greater Richmond area, Charlottesville, and much of Central Virginia. They also cover portions of North Carolina including Cary, Chapel Hill, Durham, Greensboro, High Point, Lexington, Raleigh and Winston-Salem.

Cook and Wiley is headquartered at 3751 Westerre Parkway, Suite D-1 in Richmond. Call them at 804-359-1984 or reach them on the web at www.cookandwiley.com.
