Sam Nixon, director of the Virginia Information Technologies Agency, is leaving to become chief administrative officer of the State Corporation Commission.

Lynn Pharr, president and CEO of the United Way of Greater Richmond and Petersburg, is leaving to join the United Way of the Plains in Wichita, Kansas. Barry M. Taylor will act as interim president and CEO.

Adrienne Goolsby, CEO of Richmond Redevelopment and Housing Authority has resigned. T.K. Somanath, former president and CEO of the Better Housing Coalition, is the incoming CEO for the RRHA.

Timothy Heaphy has joined Hunton & Williams as a partner in its Washington and Richmond offices. He had been U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Virginia since 2009 and will become head of the firm’s white-collar defense and internal investigations practice.
